Configuring: ISV Action Object

Select your previously created Action Object, and map the fields in your dataset to the relevant input fields of the Action Object. You also need to select which outputs from the Action Object you want to view in the new dataset.

Steps to configure

Action Object loading: Select the required Action Object to either use an existing timestamp field, or to generate new timestamps.
Action Object mapping: Map the fields from the dataset to the Action Object's input field.
Action Object output selection: Select the required fields from the list of available Action Object output fields.
Execute: A new dataset will be created, containing the selected output fields of the Action Object.

Step 1: Action Object loading

Select the Action Object file (.isv extension) and the data timestamping method that should be used for this operation.

The Action Object file is selected and checked during loading. The checks will confirm that the file is uncorrupted, that the ISV object is valid, and that all blueprint blocks are licensed and registered.
If the Action Object is not created using registered blocks, the operation will fail.

NOTE: Timestamps with milliseconds are not supported. Output timestamps will not contain milliseconds.
Default:
- Generate timestamp is selected, period = 0.
Minimum configuration:
- A valid Action Object must be selected.
- If [Generate timestamp] was selected, the period should be > 0.
- If [Use timestamp field] is selected, a valid timestamp field should be used. Select the appropriate field from the drop down menu.

Step 2: Action Object mapping

Map the relevant fields in the dataset to the Action Object inputs.

Field data types and Action Object input data types must be matched to the same data types: integer field to integer input, double field to double input, etc.
Default: no fields are mapped.
Minimum configuration: all inputs must be mapped.

Step 3: Action Object output selection

Select the output fields that will be displayed in the new dataset.

Default: no output fields are selected.
Minimum configuration: at least one output field should be selected.

Step 4: Execute

A new dataset will be created, listing the selected output fields from the specified Action Object. The values of the new dataset will have been created by using data values from the input dataset and subjecting these values to the configured blueprint mathematical operations and functions as configured in the Action Object.
